El Segundo, CA - August 15, 1999 - Activision, a leading
international publisher, developer and distributor of interactive
entertainment and leisure products, has selected Los Angeles-based
Exakt Entertainment to develop the Street Lethal video
game for the Sony Playstation 2 platform, scheduled for release
in 2001.
"Paul Ashdown from Exakt approached us to represent his newly
formed company in securing a game development deal," said
R.E.D. co-founder Paul Cunningham. "We knew Activision was
looking for a partner to help them enter both the racing game
genre and PS2 console market."
"Exakt had a racing game background, and is one of a small
number of teams with extensive PS2 programming experience,"
said Cunningham. "It was a great match, so we were able to
bring Exakt and Activision together and work out a mutually
beneficial development deal."
Exakt Entertainment is a premier video game development studio
founded in July 1999 by Paul Ashdown, Eran Rich and Ed Watts.
