El Segundo, CA - January 4, 2001 - Kalisto Entertainment
has been selected by Mattel Interactive to develop a Sony
Playstation 2 game based on Nickelodeon's forthcoming animated
film Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius.
The Jimmy Neutron cartoons tell the story of a 10-year-old
boy who, along with his robot dog, Goddard, battles evil,
rescues his parents from aliens, saves the Earth and still
makes it home in time for supper. The Jimmy Neutron
animated motion picture will be distributed by Paramount Pictures
and opens in theaters nationwide December 2001. A Nickelodeon
TV series is slated to debut in Fall 2002.
"We learned that Mattel was looking for a studio with the
technology and expertise to bring Jimmy Neutron alive
on the Playstation 2," said R.E.D.'s Paul D. Cunningham. "We
were excited to introduce Mattel to Kalisto, a studio with
cutting edge technology, great art and the ability to develop
the game in the given time period."
